Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries, catalytic converter and vehicle thefts reported between the 2nd July 2026 to 9th July 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough. The Police Reference Number (PR) with each of the reports is shown in brackets. Car Crime This week there has been 0 reports of a suspected theft from car and 0 reports of attempts to gain access to vehicles. 1 report of license plates being stolen. Arrests. There were 36 arrests in the period July 2nd 2026 to July 8th 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 12, Rape/Sexual Offence 2, Drugs 2, Drunk/Drug Charge 1, Prescribed Limit 1, Violent Crime in a Public Place 2, Violent Crime other 2, Harassment/Stalking 1, Crime Public Order 1, Offensive Weapon 1, Child at Risk 1, Child Protection 4, Master Occurrence 3*, Immigration 1, None of these 1. Assault on Police 1. *A Master Occurrence is used when recording an arrest where a number of offences are recorded for one incident.
Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been 7 reports of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. These include reports of Romance Fraud, Telephone Fraud and an attempted Rogue Trader claiming to be from BT.
Burglaries North 08/07/2026 16:00. Chapel Road, Tadworth. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry has been gained through a kitchen window. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time. (PR 45260081741) 09/07/2026 02:31. The Drive, Banstead. Residential Garage Burglary. Method of Entry – Forced entry has been gained through the garage door. Stolen: Nothing taken. (PR 45260081866)
Central Between 03/07/2026 20:00 to 04/07/2026 02:00. Brighton Road, Redhill. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Entry has been gained through a bedroom window. Stolen: Nothing Taken (PR 45260080485)
